 The museum looks after 55 monuments of architecture in the towns of Vladimir, Suzdal and Gus-Khrustalny, at the villages of Bogolyubovo and Kideksha.
These are mainly monuments of Old-Russian period (12th – early 18th century) – churches and secular buildings, made of stone and timber, separate structures and architectural complexes. Some monuments belong to the gubernia period (late 18th – early 20th century). Of particular value are the monuments of the 12th – early 13th – century.
Eight monuments and ensembles are on the World Heritage List of UNESCO.
