In 2008, the Vladimir and Suzdal Museum-Reserve celebrates its 50th anniversary which will be marked with a constellation of exhibitions sent to Vladimir by the best-known museums of Russia.
The Autographs By Russian Emperors and Empresses Exhibition from the collection of the Moscow’s State History Museum is one of the most important events of the jubilee project.
  
Represented are unique documents beginning from luxurious letters patents to simple messages of family or personal character. One will see greetings, postcards, children drawings with humorous inscriptions, poems copied for albums, menu of festive dinners, different orders and resolutions on the most important issues of the state life.
The whole collection of the department of written documents of the State History Museum contains more than 15 million pieces. And just its small part – 150 authentic autographs of historical figures of the 18th – 19th centuries – was brought to Vladimir
